For many, the roles of adult and child are reversed and, despite profound love, both struggle to survive.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a largely voluntary organisation dedicated to saving lives at sea, relying on membership fees and donations as its only source of funds. Since its conception, the organisation has saved over 137,000 lives and remains the UK’s primary source of rescue at sea, with the majority of the lifeboat men working as part time volunteers.

People with cancer living in outlying areas of South Devon and Cornwall have a very long way to travel for treatment. Derriford Hospital in Plymouth would like to have a mobile team that could travel to cottage hospitals to treat patients near their homes but they do not have the funds. So the Chemo Outreach Project is hoping to raise the £80,000 needed to employ two senior oncology nurses for a year that would visit hospitals in Kingsbridge, Tavistock and Liskeard.
