Race and Events

La Solitaire du Figaro

The Solitaire du Figaro is a solo 1700-mile race broken down into four legs and visiting Brittany, Ireland, Spain and the Vendée region of France. In identical monohulls, the 55 skippers will fight for every boat length, coping with sleep deprivation and nerve-racking final sprints. This year Jonny Malbon will be sailing the Artemis Figaro in his first attempt at the race in the ‘Rookies’ division.

The Artemis Challenge

Now in its third year, the Artemis Challenge sees IMOCA 60s race around the Isle of Wight during the famous Cowes Week regatta, with celebrity guests and a charity prize-pot.

The Artemis Transat

The oldest solo ocean race in history, The Artemis Transat is a 2,800 mile race across the North Atlantic alone… Held every four years since 1960, the most recent edition of the race started from Plymouth, UK in May 2008 and added another chapter to sailing’s history books…

Rolex Fastnet Race

The Rolex Fastnet Race is open to both amateur and professional crews, racing from Cowes on the Isle of Wight to the Fastnet Rock off the coast of Ireland, before finishing in Plymouth, UK – a course of over 600 miles.

Transat Jacques Vabre

Samantha Davies and Sidney Gavignet enter this year’s Transat Jacques Vabre – or “Coffee Route” – the highlight of this year’s IMOCA 60 calendar. The race fom France to Costa Rica is a 5,000-mile dash across the Atlantic, with a unique twist – the crews race double-handed.
